Cacciolina
Today I'm going to delight you with the life and times of Cacciolina, the little crocodile dog. Cacciolina is almost two years old but she's absolutely convinced that she's a puppy or better yet, that she's a baby!
Cacciolina came to our house shortly after my friend (dog) Kenzo passed away. His passing away was very difficult for me and for my grandma who had been showing signs that her time, was also reaching an end. Kenzito died in March 2016 and Cacciolina came to our home in May, in the few months that Cacciolina spent with my grandma, she managed to spark some life back into my granny and made her happy until the very end...My grandma passed away on August 15th of that same year and even when she was at the hospital she asked about Cacciolina.
Cacciolina is a very special dog not only because she's been able to bring comfort and love to my mom and me after our losses, but also because she's got a very endearing personality. When I arrive home for instance, she 'smiles' and grins and looks like a little crocodille. If something upsets her, she goes to bed making this sound: "Puff, puff, puff..." In the morning you tell her: "Estirarse, hacer ejercicio" and she looks at you and she streches!
I could just go on and on but the truth of the matter is, I somehow feel Cacciolina saved us. She made the last days my grandma had, more enjoyable and she has given my mom and me someone to take care of and love and this has helped us to make the hard times a little more bearable. Cacciolina is the best little crocodile-dog friend of all.
